How Does an Applicant Apply to the Program?

How Does the Program Work?

In order to participate in this program, the Agent must become an employee of ABO.

Once the enrollment process is completed, the participating Agent will be required to run a minimum payroll monthly based on 30 hours per week (or 130 hours per month) at the mandated minimum wage in the area the Agent conducts business.

Each Agent will be required to run a monthly payroll.

Funds will be drawn from the ‘Agent’s account’ by ACH prior to the designated pay date and will include:

  • payroll and all taxes associated
  • the expense of the health and any ancillary benefit plans selected
  • workers’ compensation insurance
  • an $89 administrative fee for each enrolled member per month

Payroll must be processed in order for the Agent to participate in the benefits of the program

The payroll taxes will be paid to the correct taxing authorities each payroll.

The monthly net pay to each participant will be paid via a direct deposit to the bank account specified during the enrollment process. The monthly ‘net pay’ amount represents gross wages less all employee taxes and other expenses / deductions previously mentioned above.

ABO will initiate payroll processing for the first designated pay date after the completed enrollment. A detailed invoice will be sent to the Agent at least 5 business days prior to the date that the funds will be withdrawn. Payroll (including payroll‐taxes, benefit costs, workers’ compensation and administrative fees) will be withdrawn directly by ABO via ACH Debit from an account specified in advance by the participant.

You will be invoiced 5 days prior to pay date. Funds will be drawn from your bank account 3 days prior to the pay date. Click here to view the payroll schedule for payroll dates.

FEE FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IS $200 PER OCCURRENCE
Two occurrences of insufficient funds in a rolling 12 month period will result in immediate termination from the program.
